Material Gestures delves into the innovative practices of two artists who push the boundaries of their chosen mediums, using their unique material choices and perspectives to explore form and texture.
Britt Fabello, based in Los Angeles, creates works on paper that blend sustainability with meditative design. Her commitment to ecological materials and engaging textures fosters an environment of reflection and sensory exploration.
Sabina Magnus, a Brooklyn-based sculptor and teacher brings extensive experience in wheel and handbuilding techniques. Teaching at Clayworks since its inception, Sabina has developed a portfolio that includes widely sought-after sculptural and functional ceramics.
Winter Open House
Second Nature partnered with BAM Art Advisory and works included in the Winter Open House. Blending the boundary between an art gallery and a home, contemporary art can be found over three floors in every room, ranging from the front hall to the living room of a historic 1880s Larchmont Manor Home. Over 25 museum-quality artists and 100+ curated works of art.
